Alien: Dead Planetoid

leading from

The planetoid is now dead, and its civilisation had been gone for perhaps a million years.

At some point in time, a cataclysm causes the extermination of the adults of this certain race leaving no one to tend and nurture the young.

The fatal flaw of this species appears to be the biological necessity of over-exploitation of the biosphere.

All that remained of it was a pyramid and the spores inside which can survive dormant for incredible lengths of time under even the most adverse conditions.

In a dark lower chamber of this breeding temple , a large number of eggs lie dormant, waiting to sense something warm.
