The Baker listening to his Uncle' for Lewis Carroll's The Hunting of The Snark (Published 1876) by Henry Holiday references the early 'Alice meets the Caterpillar' drawing for Alice In Wonderland (between (1862-1864) by Charles Dodgson (AKA Lewis Carroll) ?

Leading from

a)  'The Baker listening to his Uncle' for Lewis Carroll's The Hunting of The Snark
(Published 1876) by Henry Holiday

b) References the early 'Alice meets the Caterpillar' drawing for Alice In Wonderland (between (1862-1864) by Charles Dodgson (AKA Lewis Carroll) (which I think is referenced in Executioner argues with the King about cutting off the Cheshire Cat’s head' ?

c) Idea of the side view of a warped face like form at the left side of the smoke cloud, with Alice's left hand as the eye becomes the baker

d) The head becomes the head, but pipe becomes the centre of the buttoned up part of the front of the nightgown and a crease running from the knee to the seat of the stool

e) Detail showing the pipe stem and the equivalent on the night shirt

f) Caterpillar and the Uncle. I suppose that one couldn't point out much that correlates with the idea of two seated figures alone but the other details are interesting

g) Alice's skirt would then become frill covering the shoulders of the baker
