Skull from James Gleeson's "Betrothal of two classic edifices" and wooden gate from Fisher Price Teaching Clock merge together as a skull in Giger's Mordor V

Giger's Mordor V (1975)

Looking at the skull image from James Gleeson's "Betrothal of two classic edifices"  with legs stuck in the sockets, and the wooden gate with posts from the Fisher Price Teaching Clock, I find myself assuming that they merged together in Giger's creativity when he created the vague skull impression in Mordor V. The black string wrapped sausages fill the area that would be the legs stuck into the eye sockets. The teeth from the skull and the wood that make up the gate merge together and elongate to become this strange decoration featuring long vertical ribbing.
