a) I believe that Giger referenced the 1983 cover of JG Ballard's Drowned World in his 1987 painting Biomechanical Landscape I (work 597) reversing the iguana and taking the front of the head and placing it behind the iguana's front legs?

d)  HR Giger's Biomechanical Landscape I (work 597) references illustration by Lesley Buckingham for "The Dog Who Ran For President"

i) On the 17th February 2017, on the internet at the Radio Times Collector's facebook page I find the illustration by Lesley Buckingham for the Radio 4 Cliffhanger play"The Dog Who Ran For President" from the 14-20 february 1987  edition of the Radio Times, and have the realisation that Giger saw it and took an interest in it, but for some time I am left wondering what he did with it.

ii) On 8th March 2017, I take a look at Giger's Biomechanical Landscape I (work 597) which I have already perceived as having something to do with The Drowned World novel and then I begin to notice how the picture connects with this illustration, and perceive suggestions of the demonstrators and the banners


 
 
iii) Perhaps what is a woman's face with spectacles beneath the "CND FOR ME" banner  and has a circle around hr face liberally becomes transformed into this almost amphibious eye, and the dark beret becomes a tentacle like form.



 
 
iv) The area in Giger's painting and can also be the head of the man and his dog on his shoulder with the dog's head replaced by this strange amphibious eye form, and the fingers entering its mouth become piping
