HR Giger's term for the purpose for the egg silo, coined by his then girlfriend Mia.

The Croissant
Ridley's nickname for the derelict ship because of its shape during Alien.

Cylinder
The name given to the egg silo when it is a structure of human in one of the script rewrite for Alien

Ridley's terms for the alien creature at the end of Prometheus, named because of its head pointed like a bishop's mitre.

Building that contained the alien spores. 

Engineers
Term coined by script writer Jon Spaihts in his Alien prequel script for the large human like beings seen in Prometheus that were supposed to have engineered the human race. At one point they were the space jockeys of Alien and by Prometheus was a representation for the purpose of the film.

Name given in the production department for the creature in the Alien series that jumps out of the egg/spore and hugs the face of a host.

Flying Bedstead
Unused concept for a frame like maintenance vehicle to be used by the Nostromo crew in Alien.

Fifield Monster
Production departments name for the creature that Fifield is transformed into by the black goo in Prometheus.

In the universe of Alien, name for an area in deep space at one point in the development an area of explored territory in space , perhaps by 2087AD, 54 light years in radius from Earth.



Perambulatory Penis

Pork Chops 
Steve Messing mentions that at the time of concept designing for Prometheus ,  Ridley would refer to all the old Giger designs as "Pork Chops".
