leading from
James Cameron's Alien Queensource: https://propstore.com/product/aliens/queen-leg/ |
An original Alien Queen leg from the James Cameron’s 1986 sci-fi sequel Aliens. The leg is believed to have been used in the film’s climax where Ripley (Sigourney Weaver) traps the Queen in the hatch with the cargo loader on top, until she opens the hatch and the Queen is sucked into space.
This static piece is made from foam latex with a bendable metal wire interior structure running throughout. The outside has been crafted with extensive detail with defined muscular and skeletal structure, bringing the piece to life; it has been painted with the Alien’s customary dark royal blue color. The leg begins just below the knee and extends all the way to the four toes, even including a tendon at the back of the leg with an extra, single toe at bottom. Due to production use and age, the foam has become somewhat dried and cracked around the more flexible areas; the toes, the ankle (see photos). This leg measures approximately 35” x 7” (89cm x 18cm) and remains in fair condition.
