It was the British artist Chris Beaumont who had provided the illustration seen on the cover of White Dwarf #1 soon came out with another cover illustration for White Dwarf #6 April/May 1978. It mysteriously looked inspired by Ron Cobb's illustration for the birth temple for Alien. Had they met up once Ron Cobb was in England working for Ridley Scott, and perhaps Chris Beaumont had seen Ron's artwork?
