HR Giger: Comparison between Alien Monster IV
and Dali's "Daddy Longlegs of the Evening - Hope!'"

a) Another possibility is Dali's painting "Daddy Longlegs of the Evening - Hope!" which includes a Daddy Longlegs spider rather than a Daddy Longlegs Crane fly. This realisation came to me on Sunday 12th 2015, when I wondered further about the alien hand being like a Daddy Long Legs and then I looked for any connection I could with Dali and found that he painted a picture with such a name.

b) Also compare the fingers draped over the phallus with the bow across the skin of the drooping violin and the head of the creature as if asleep like the drooped head of the sleeper in Dali's painting.
The wall where the bed of soil supporting the tree in Dali's picture becomes a space cut away into the ground of the environment where Alien creature rests.

c) Bow with string
Perhaps the violin bow shows up in the strange limb like thing, with the bow string as if not a fibula, perhaps a long tendon either side of it lying on the floor at the bottom of the Giger painting with the end raised with a tendon running along part of it and resting against the alien monster's rib cage.
