a) A maquette from Paul W.S. Anderson's sci-fi action film AVP: Alien vs. Predator. Created by the esteemed artists at Amalgamated Dynamics Inc. – designers of the creatures in Alien3 (for which they received an Academy Award® nomination), Alien: Resurrection and the Alien vs. Predator series – the maquette depicts one of the film's titular aliens as it lurks in a dark corner, waiting to strike. b) The piece, used as part of the creature's design process, is made of Super Sculpey clay around a metal armature and features elaborate detailing for its outstretched limbs, head and tail. It is finished in a blue and black paint scheme with faux-silver paint used for the creature's claws and teeth.
