a) This upright colour one is a close up study ( possibly credited to Sylvain
Despretz on the Alien Quadrilogy DVD set but might well be by someone else).
b) If it is by him, the head has a slightly small
quality as with his stylised drawings of the alien, but the
illustration explores the body of the creature close up as an
interpretation of Giger's third version of a concept for the Alien
humanoid (see bottom image for comparison)
