Alien : Jack Kirby's The Living Totem referenced in the Alien suit?

a) Another element to consider, since it seems that Giger would refernce the illustrations of Jack Kirby in his own work. Have been picking up an understanding that a Jack Kirby monster sums up the Alien in the movie in a particular perspective and today have been looking further at the various strange characters that have appeared in Jack Kirby comic books, and have located one very intriguing entity, The Terrible Totem from a 1961 Stan Lee scripted story.

 

 

b) From the front, the way that Giger's Alien was planned out could be roughly compared to such designs on the Living Totem as an arrangement of symmetrical features but further abstracted.
