a) On January 1st, 2019, I came to to realised that the Mandy poster (2018) appeared to referenced Jorge Camacho's painting "El sueño de Sancho" (The dream of Sancho) (1978) with a view that it referenced Schoenherr's Dune illustration "Jessica".
b) Camacho's painting has a general triangular form while the the Mandy poster has a structure that's roughly a triangular form outlined with a triangle.
Where the "Jessica" illustration might not give the poster artist much leeway, the painting by Camacho gives the poster artist other places to go.

c) The tusk of a head becomes this spike from the shadow.
d) A hand holding handle for a string puppet becomes a hand holding an ax.
e) Ring of rocks at the bottom becomes the two silhouettes with chainsaws
