a) Independence Day alien suit concept references the Unicorn shipwreck from "The Adventures of Tintin and Red Rackham's Treasure"
On May 1st, 2017, I suddenly worked out that the Unicorn shipwreck from "The Adventures of Tintin and Red Rackham's Treasure" referenced the very same Henu Barque that this alien suit did, and then realised that this biomechanoid suit bore signs of the shipwreck, perhaps someone might decide that it might only reference the Unicorn shipwreck rather than this specific Henu Barque.
Since Patrick Tatopoulos grew up in France and was likely to be familiar with the Tintin comic book stories. However I might be bold and suggest that Tatopoulos somehow found out or worked out the connection between the shipwreck and the Henu Barque. If he didn't, then we might as well have even stranger ideas about what was going on.
b) There are traces of a fish are left in the elbow.
The seaweed tendrils become its tentacles.
Some of the rigging becomes the hanging pipes at the neck.
There might well be other things to uncover but the presence of the jellyfish may well have led Tatopoulos to go for a figure with a jellyfish like quality.
