d) I don't want to really say that the comparisons here should be about which human is supposed to be which. but having said that, Captain Mannering's head would generally be in the position of the man who is lying agains the tomb lid. The rock on the upper left might become the blanket over the legs of the soldier on the upper left in the Dad's army photo.
