a) Acheron?

The planetoid known as LV-426 was not actually known as "Acheron" in the Aliens movie, but it appeared that Cameron nicknamed it this in the script mentioning there three times. It would never be mentioned in dialogue or any clear onscreen text.

  1. Peter Briggs:  The planet being called "Acheron" is only mentioned three times in Cameron's script, all in prose. Never by name in Dialogue or onscreen text. Except here, in this "squint or you'll miss it" piece of set-decoration. (https://twitter.com/ThePeterBriggs/status/1787859122488054155 May 7th 2024)

b) Acheron Colony?

"Acheron Colony" would be found in the set decoration for a scene featured in the diretor's cut, and there only barely visible are the words

Peter Briggs was able to supply two shots where one could see where the usage was officially applied on-set, but one would have to squint to see it or miss it.

  1. Peter Briggs:  A little late for #alienday, but...as most everyone who's read the #Aliens screenplay knows, Cameron nicknamed LV-426 "Acheron in the screenplay, even though it's not called that in the film. Here's the two shots where you can see where the usage was officially applied on-set.(https://twitter.com/ThePeterBriggs/status/1787542603510292723, May 6th 2024)
  2. Peter Briggs: I've seen ONE behind the scenes set photograph of this. This is the only place I've located it.(https://twitter.com/ThePeterBriggs/status/1787615513331319286 May 6th 2024
