a) The Engineer colony on the planet according to Dane Hallet
a.i) On the mysterious planet were a colony of Engineers. They were not the same colony that we saw in Prometheus. This was not their home planet either.
a.ii) As far as Dane Hallett could take it in when it was described to him, It was a colony of the Engineers on a different planet and the way that the culture was described to him was that they're beyond commerce, and that's why they're now just in the Arts in a way
a.iii) That's why it looked like what it looked like where everything is beautiful , as if it were a species of Engineers, who were not like humans on Earth who were hellbent on being wealthy enough so that they could look after their family, as if that that was removed from the equation
a.iv) As if the Engineers could delight in forming a civilization that really honored the Arts. There would be beautiful buildings, there eould be beautiful ecological choices being made to help uh promote Wildlife breeding , and all sorts of thing like that. That was how it was near enough of sold to Dane.
a.v) This resulted in Dane starting off drawing instruments, that was going to be around one of the sets and they wanted these ancient kind of like flavor to everything. so he was researching all these, like the first instruments which were bone flutes.
Interviewer: were they um were they engineers then on that planet ?
Dane Hallett: uh yes the yes, but they were not the same colony of Engineers so uh you know again this one comes up all the time and I mean it would make sense to me that you would want to go back to the Engineer home planet but this was not the Engineer home planet.
