a) Original life cyle tableau, (work 384) (1978) by HR Giger
b) Panel from page 8 of "Asterix and The Soothsayer" (originally published in Pilote issues 652-673 in 1972) written by Goscinny and illustrated by Uderzo.
(Curiously I think this image here references the "The Borogoves, Toves and the Raths" for Lewis Carroll's Alice Through The Looking Glass (1871) by John Tenniel that appears to have been referenced in Giger's painting and some of others that Giger also referenced.)
c) The whole of page 8
d) Eyes and the snout of animal head on his head and their equivalent area.
e) The eyes and the equivalent area. So the eyebrows become the tier holding the upper egg
f) The ear becomes the upper torso of the space jockey character, while the eye becomes the head area
g) The nose becomes the opening of the egg with the facehugger leaping out
h) The upper lip and mouth become the middle egg
i) The jaw become the inverted triangular shape beneath the egg
j) The nose of the animal head dress becomes the flesh thing that would normally be perceived as the sun of a winged sun. What is it really? I'm not sure thankfully.
