HR Giger: Anima Mia (work 487) (1980/81) by HR Giger references Dream (20th October 1961) by Federico Fellini ?

a) HR Giger's Anima Mia (1980/81) (work 487)

b)  Dream (20th October 1961) by Federico Fellini

One can look and see loose similarities but I don't know if Fellini was sharing his dreambook illustrations back then. It's probably a surprised to think that Fellini would have been sharing his drawings back in 1980 in some form but my theory is that he did in his circle of friends (I think that this drawing referenced Escher's Plane Filling II (1957))

c) The mid left female becomes the crowned Mia figure

d) Woman with raised arms becomes the Mia cut in two

e) Left arm of woman in the right corner becomes a boat like tentacle

f) Little yellow man in jacket becomes the figure with the flat bald skull with dreadlocks

g) The leg straps becomes the ribbing along the spine

h) Woman with raised arms becomes the Mia cut in two

 i)  Perhaps Giger used the idea of an ugly face seen from the side

j)  The whip and red gloved right arm of woman in the right lower corner becomes the figure with a conical hat

k) So here the the whip extending up to the blue female also becomes the end woman's leg in the Giger's painting
