a) Panel showing the Space Jockey in his spacecraft from "The Alien" from Dark Horse's Aliens The Platinum Edition, (April 1992)
b) References
frontispiece showing Eblis sitting upon a globe of fire (1815) engraved
by Isaac Taylor after a drawing by Isaac Taylor Jr for William
Beckford's Vathek written in 1782?
Note well, that I think this illustration seems to have influenced the part of Diego Rivera's painting that this comic book illustration referenced
What
we have is a the presence of a robed individual high up on a dome
turned into a robed giant standing on a platform.
The half naked man
crouching behind the curtain and the people who have come to bow down
before the man sitting on the dome are transformed into a group white suited representatives from planet Earth who have come to meet the giant in his space craft.
c) The arm becomes the slant of the jaw and underside of the he
d) Men with spears become the screen display featuring the alien spores
e) The slant of the bottom of the curtain becomes the slant of the telescope like machine
f) The dome like form becomes the rounded form of the machinery to the right, behind the space jockey.
g) Where
the part of the fabric of the garment worn by the seated figure hangs
down and touches the dome become the dip in the neckline of the robe
worn by the Space Jockey
h) The humans are transformed into more humans
i) Two humans who are transformed into three humans
j) Man with dark skin is transformed into another man with dark skin
