This Deck Element appears to be a tangled form that resembles, steps, straps and the remains of an alien creature? Perhaps human hands holding a shed alien skin?

It looks to me roughly inspired by his Mordor series (See: HR Giger's Mordor series)

 

But exploring the Alien:Xenogenesis comic book page, it occurred to me that he used that as a starting pount for this drawing, since I could suddenly it had been based upon a 1976 biomechanic landscape, although the swirliness would contimue to make me think of Mordor
