a) Here we have an early star map drawn by Betty Hill based upon his memories of the abduction events where she was shown the three dimensional star charts. Once it was published in Interrupted Journey, it appears to have been referenced in the Adventures of Tintin and the Flight 714 to Sydney. Marjorie Fish had a go at identifying the stars and assumed that the large spheres were Zeta I and II Reticuli. The Zeta Reticuli Incident published in 1974 led to more public interest in the star map. Dan O'Bannon started to think about it when he wrote Memory, In 1976, a Pink Panther comic book cover referenced it and it turns up referenced in a panel for "Dogman in Doktor Oktorpus Nonplussed" in the Ally Sloper comic. The concept art for the Drax space station in the 1979 movie Moonraker looked suspiciously like it. When Alien was being made, it soon entered concept art, such as the "Centre Of the Tombe" drawing by Chris Foss. In 1980 Giger painted ZDF incorporating elements of earlier compositions based on the map drawing, and later an issue of MAD magazine in 1982 appeared to incorporate elements of previous compositions as well in one cover. Soon the enthusiasm for the map entered the film Prometheus released in 2012. Perhaps this list of use of the map since its first appearance might soon grow.
b) Star map (based on a memory from an abduction by extra-terrestrials)
(Summer 1964) drawn by Betty Hill,
"Under hypnosis Betty Hill described a maps she was shown "by the leader aboard the ship" Later she sketched it. She said it she was told that the heavy lines marked regular trade routes, and the broken lines recorded various space expeditions." (The Interrupted Journey by John G. Fuller, 1966)

d) Marjorie Fish having read The Interrupted Journey began to look for corresponding stars and here we have an interpretation of the star map drawing from a letter dated October 7, 1972 , found on the internet (It's to be noted that the reference to Fomalhaut was later removed so I suppose it was briefly assumed)
